Yesterday we had our first technique class and I think it was great! I have learned a bunch of things from my first technique class and am hoping to improve on the next ones. Nami has the most beatiful parchment work I have ever seen. I love it, it so very delicate. Shirley had brought some samples of her work and as usual they were stunning. Laurin also had brought some of her cards and were also very cool...All three girls who attended are very talented.

In our technique class we explored chalk and the wonderful ways of using chalk.
To the left is one of our cards that we did in the class.

*****************On a personal Note:

We placed Stella and she is doing very well. A couple of weeks ago we took in a young male pug who is 7 months old. We knew he had gotten out of his yard and had recently had some medical care due to his legs having shave marks. We found out earlier this week that Larry has PDA. He will die if we don't get him open heart surgery for this as his little heart is just not in good shape. So we have scheduled his surgery for April the 3rd as it is getting rough on him...he plays for 10 minutes and you can just see the struggle for air...The surgery is over 1600 dollars and we have raised 800 dollars so far. If you would like to help with Larry's surgery so he can be adopted to a forever home please click the link below to go the Northwest Arkansas Pug Rescue site. They have a way there for donations. Or you can email me and I will get you in contact with our treasurer. We are a 501C3 so if you donate we can get you a tax reciept.

On a personal Note:

Today was a beautiful day here in the area. It was made even more special by the fact that we have found a permenant home for Stella, A rescue Pug at Pug Rescue of NWA. Stella has pretty severe siezures and is known to have as many as two a day. Not only that but she is almost completely blind and has a stress issue that seems to make the siezures worse. But today, we have found her a forever family and come next Friday I get the very distinct pleasure to tell Stella that she is going to a forever home to be loved and coddled the rest of her life.

If you are looking for a pug or would like to help us out go to http://www.echoesbleeding.com/pug2/index.html and check our organization out. Next weekend we are having our Pug Playday at the Dog Party USA facility outside of Springdale. All pugs are welcome!
