Christmas more to come

Well I guess I might as well face it...I am in the Christmas mood...here is another card that I have created that was inspired off my TC. I think it is pretty cute myself.

This card was created by stamping the focal image in Noir ink and then coloring the holly with a tombow marker and using the blender pen to make the marks nice and smooth. I use glossy cardstock for this as it is a bit more forgiving.

Once this was done I then took a Glaze pen and outlined the veins in the leaves and set it aside
I punched the scalloped circle out and using our white gel pen i marked each scallop in the middles.

I also stamped the Christmas sentiment in white ink and then embossed with transcendence powder to make it pop and mounted on the green cardstock to match the focal image.

The background was achieved with the Deco Designs frond stamped with Burnt umber. A softer
appearance for the background can be achieved by stamping off first

Once I was ready to mount I took a hydra sponge and tapped into my burnt umber and then lightly tapped my focal circle to age it a bit. It wound up a bit darker than I wanted but it still looks good.

All items from The Angel Company. If you are interested in further scans or step by step instructions or product please let me know and I will be glad to help.

This card was made with Holly Swirls...I used the flourish background to ink it up with Noir Ink and then used the green and red glaze pens to enhance the background. I then stamped the Merry Christmas on the Gloss cardstock and inked the stamp with Versamagic Touch of pesto..

The red and green cardstock is from the DCWV stack.

All of the items used in this project are all available from The Angel Company...contact me if you are interested in any of these items.

A bit eclectic, but that was the look I was after. This is a card that I did for the eclectic swap I am hosting. The Stamp set is Everyday Eclectic from The Angel Company. The stamps were inked up in Noir Black by Palette Ink, and lavendar from Stazon and A light yellow also from Stazon. And you actually see my handwritting on this one...The tag from the Juliette kit also has the tag that I used.

If you are interested in anything I used in this card let me know, I will be glad to help you get the products.

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

This card was made with Kraft Cardstock and Willouby, a new collection that The Angel Company released with thier fall Catalog. The Tag is part of the collection. I stamped the Love and Laughter Tree and Sentiment using Versa Magic, Hint of Pesto and Jumbo Java.

The green printed stock was torn and then inked with jumbo java. For the Tag, I used a knot and an eyelet in Antique to put the ribbon through and put the tag on the card using pop dots.
Supplies Used:

Willouby Paper - The Angel Company
Jumbo Java Versa Magic
Hint of Pesto Versa Magic

I am going to become a big fan of this paper. The picture just doesn't do this little number justice. I just couldn't get my light right. The background is brown and layered with Willoby dot and the green DP.. Then using my gloss stock I stamped the Love and Laughter Tree and sentiments using Versa Magic Hint of Pesto and Jumbo Java. I also tore the green cardstock and then inked with jumbo java. I also inked the edge of the gloss cardstock with the ink pads. Here I made sure to smudge it a bit. Keep a lookout I have another card like this going to post this week!

Meet Woodrow - My take on the matter

Above is a creation I did with leftover parts of the woodrow kit. I used a transparency, cut down to 4X4 and then using New Canvas Palette Ink I stamped the "Just for You" stamp from the level A set. The inside was created using a pocket from the kit and a tag that was also from the kit. The stamp in the middle is from Deco Designs.

I stamped the middle image in Burnt Umber. By the way the pocket will hold a gift card perfectly! Want to get this kit? Just email me and I will be happy to place an order for you. When you order this kit through me you will recieve a gift with purchase stamp.

Hey! Guess what??! Woodrow is not JUST a scrapbook kit. Did you know that if you only wanted to create 1 mini scrapbook you can still get use out of your kit by using the leftover pages as cards.

You can...especially if you use transparency for the fronts of your cards. Below is a sample that I did with one of the page inserts. I used only items from the kit with the exception of the transparency, the stamp, and the ribbon. BUT this month we have a special for this kit...so you would be able to get the ribbon in your kit for an awsome price of 49.95. Below's picture shows what is included in the kit as well as the additional embellishments and phrases.

I think this is almost my favorite project yet!
Unfortunately the background paper that I used is now retired from the Angel Company...but I have to say I do like this little journal.
I got the little journal from Hobby Lobby and the took it apart, covered the book and then put it back together. BUT the most favorite part is the collage image that I did. I have new cardstock that I am offering for sale that I have been told it is kind of clay based. I am at a loss for this stuff. I think all focal images in my work is now going to be made with this stuff. It is awsome. Even with marker. You know when you use marker and want to use the blender to pull the paper usually pulls too? Well with this stuff IT DOESN'T! I couldn't believe it. It is great. Oh and it took my tan chalk like a champ and evenly too! What more can a girl ask for?
So anyway, the dets on this project:
Kamalaht paper pack - The Angel Company
Flower Collage Trio - The Angel Company
Burnt Umber Pallete Ink - The Angel Company
Brown Bazzill
Red Cardstock
Modge Podge
Tombow Markers - Earth - The Angel Company
If you would like to get more instruction on how to create a book like this or would like to order products from this creation send me an email I will be glad to help!

A card and gift for a good friend

This is a card and mirror that I did for a freind of mine. She just recently had back surgery and is doing so well I wanted to give her a little bit of something. The card is A2 sized and used Miss Moxie Designer paper from The Angel Company. I stamped the image on glossy cardstock using the Mouline Rouge Palette ink and then added Prima flowers and rinestones for embellishment. The Sentiment on the side says get well soon and is stamped in Iris Pallete Ink.

Products Used
Miss Moxie Cardstock - The Angel Company
tlstampindreams Lilly White Cardstock - 25 - 2.50
Moulin Rouge Palette Ink - The Angel Company
Iris Palette Ink
Prima Flowers
Rinestones
Simply Devine Stamp Set - The Angel Company
Linear Sentiments - The Angel Company

Now for the little something I made for her. The round disc is a mirror on the other side. I picked this up from a store that was discontinuing it. This is made by PSX and is raw porcelin. Very interesting medium to work from. I liked it. Only had two problems. DONT USE BLAIR ON THIS! The pencil ran on the porceline when I added the blair fixative. I had a small mess trying to save this puppy. Also I discovered that wax colorant that gives the shimmer clumps up just a little bit in this medium. All in all I like it

Products used:
Noir Pallette Ink
Prismacolor/Lyra Pencils
Wax Metallic Pigments
OMS
Blair Fixative (DONT USE THIS)

Hope you like these. I think she will

another project collecting dust

Ever wonder how to get stuff done? I think sending the husband out for the day does help. This is part two of my things I did from the weekend. I got so much done!
I am actually offering this one as a KIT!
This is a coaster box that uses 7 coasters that are 4X4 and are white. I covered them in wine bazzill and then modge podged the cardstock, this will give it some durability. I then punched each side and the bottom with my bind it all for the ribbon lacing. The images are from our new Butterfly Bits set. I used one of the open butterflys to create a very ornate design. The design is then mounted on matching wine cardstock and then the thin stip of patterned paper is from juliette. then I put in 4 crystals for the ends of the wings.
So Dets on the kit:
7 4 X 4 white coasters (punched with BIA OR left empty to punch as desired)
4 4X4 Squares of Wine Cardstock
1 3 X 12 stripe of Juliette paper
1 3 X 4 stripe of Juliette paper
1 4 X 12 stripe of Wine Cardstock
1 4 X 4 Stripe of Wine cardstock
4 Pieces of Clay based cardstock stamped with images above OR blank, your choice
8 Chrystals to embellish image
Enough Ribbon to make your box
Instructions on how to make the box
YOU ADD MODGE PODGE and your own creativity.
Kit is 10.00 plus shipping.
To do my box I used the following additional elements:
Burnt Umber ink
Tombow Mono Adhesive
Bind It All
Modge Podge
Marvy Heat Tool (to set image in a hurry :) )

More creations from the weekend

Here is another creation I did over the weekend. I am a bit late in trying some of these things, but had a lot of fun creating them. I still don't have my projects from Seminar completed LOL but these have been on my table to do now for a little over 2 months...so I guess I can say I am just going in order of what I have to do.

This is a purse that I did using one of the

pieces from the pockets and pieces kit that The Angel Company has. The pieces are white and I wanted a brown for my base so I used one of the peices as a template.

I cut out the Brown Bazzill and then using my score pal I scored each fold so that it would lay down nicely. Inside the purse I put in a matching 3 X 3 post it note and then using the same design I stamped the flowers on the inside.

Products Used:

Rustic Chic Cardstock Stack
Brown Bazzill
Scrappers Floss - White
Scrappers Floss - Brown
Brown Checked Ribbon
Button from Stash
Bazzill Bitty Blossoms
White Versa Craft Ink (Flowers at bottom)
Basic Grey Magnets (to hold flap down)
Post it notes
Kindness Sentiment from the latest special
Button from stash
Yellow Ice Stickles
Chrystal Stickles
Transcendance Embossing Powder

If you would like further detail on how I created this Gem, or would like to order the product to make this, please email me.

Here are my excuses for why I didn't get anything posted last week LOL. We have a 1941 Chevy Coupe that we take to shows occasionally throughout the year. Memorial day weekend we went to Springfield, Missouri for the Annual NSRA nationals. below is a picture of a car that is simumar to our car but with paint.

This is our car:

After we left Springfield on Sunday we decided that we would go t0 Branson Missouri. Branson is a place John and I have traveled to many times. But this time we decided we would take the scenic railway tour. This tour is special to me because the train goes through a now extinct town where my family lived in the early 1900's and also my family helped build the tunnels on this railway that we went on. So below is a picture that was taken right as we left branson. The train was going slow enough that it isn't blurry.

My husband was practising his "I can't believe you are going to take my picture! stare." obviously I didn't get the point cause I snapped 3 of them tee hee hee.

Well as promised I finally am getting around to posting some of my creations. My camera is not cooperating so I will take some more pictures tomorrow and post them. Hopefully they will look better. But in the meantime I will post a few items that I have made the last couple of weeks.

Here is a simple note card I made with the victorian lady from The Angel Company. I used the Pearlescent Crimson from Brilliance and Faiths transcendance Embossing powder. The bow is attached to the picture hanger.

The card is tan speckled and is just gorgeous in real life. My camera isn't in the mood to take good pictures tonight! LOL

The other item I have been working on is my journal for seminar:

Here is the pages:

I have been busy creating this weekend...So hopefully this week I will get some of them posted. The next few weeks are going to be very busy. I am going to springfield for the weekend and then going back out again in June to Witchita.

June will mark the issue of our new catalog. I am looking forward to the catalog as there appears to be some very exicting stamp sets on the horizon.

Below are some sneak peaks of our stamps coming in the next catalog:

Friday, May 2, 2008

here are some additional pictures of my "canvas"

the one on the right is done with the Cars stamp set from The Angel Company. I created this using the paper from Crate and transcendance embossing powder.
The one on the right is the stamp set from The Angel company called Cuddle Pug. The image was colored with colored pencils and then using the Gamsol, was blended. The phrase was stamped using Iris Pallete. The flower is chipboard, colored with Iris as well and then stamped with a stamp that Ihave in my stash.
If you are interested in these stamp sets let me know and I would be happy to help.

If you are interested in one contact me and I and I can get one out to you quickly.

here is a card we did in technique class, this is called aged tiles

this is accomplished by taking a white piece of cardstock, an "aging" ink and an image that lends to being split up. Ink your individual pieces and reassemble. Very simple and adds an awsome bit of interest.

Stamp is from heartitude and spring dream

Paper is sweetwater

Brads from american crafts

here is a 6X6 card that I created using black bazzil and circle sampler only.

LARY UPDATE: we found out last night that Larry is NOT going to need surgery. When the surgeon looked him over he had some strong doubts on his having a true bonefide PDA. So we sent him down to little rock for one more diagnostic test before doing open heart surgery. We found out that Larry has a birth defect that is not correctable with surgery, but that he will be able to live a long full life he will just need to be monitored closely

Yesterday we had our first technique class and I think it was great! I have learned a bunch of things from my first technique class and am hoping to improve on the next ones. Nami has the most beatiful parchment work I have ever seen. I love it, it so very delicate. Shirley had brought some samples of her work and as usual they were stunning. Laurin also had brought some of her cards and were also very cool...All three girls who attended are very talented.

In our technique class we explored chalk and the wonderful ways of using chalk.
To the left is one of our cards that we did in the class.

*****************On a personal Note:

We placed Stella and she is doing very well. A couple of weeks ago we took in a young male pug who is 7 months old. We knew he had gotten out of his yard and had recently had some medical care due to his legs having shave marks. We found out earlier this week that Larry has PDA. He will die if we don't get him open heart surgery for this as his little heart is just not in good shape. So we have scheduled his surgery for April the 3rd as it is getting rough on him...he plays for 10 minutes and you can just see the struggle for air...The surgery is over 1600 dollars and we have raised 800 dollars so far. If you would like to help with Larry's surgery so he can be adopted to a forever home please click the link below to go the Northwest Arkansas Pug Rescue site. They have a way there for donations. Or you can email me and I will get you in contact with our treasurer. We are a 501C3 so if you donate we can get you a tax reciept.

If you would like to help Larry please click this link http://www.echoesbleeding.com/pug2/index.html

On a personal Note:

Today was a beautiful day here in the area. It was made even more special by the fact that we have found a permenant home for Stella, A rescue Pug at Pug Rescue of NWA. Stella has pretty severe siezures and is known to have as many as two a day. Not only that but she is almost completely blind and has a stress issue that seems to make the siezures worse. But today, we have found her a forever family and come next Friday I get the very distinct pleasure to tell Stella that she is going to a forever home to be loved and coddled the rest of her life.

If you are looking for a pug or would like to help us out go to http://www.echoesbleeding.com/pug2/index.html and check our organization out. Next weekend we are having our Pug Playday at the Dog Party USA facility outside of Springdale. All pugs are welcome!

2. The edges of the image are burned by flame
This will be one of the projects we will be doing at class on Febuary 9th. Would sure like to see you there!
Paper is Kamalaht collection from The Angel Company and the image is victorian Collage. Also from the Angel Company.
Unable to attend the class and want to have the ability to create this? Contact me and We can put together the pieces of this wonderful collection.

New class announcement

This month we will be making a folio with 5 cards for it. The class will be on Febuary 9th at 1:00 pm. Location still to be determined.

All Paper and Stamps will be from THE ANGEL COMPANY.

As well with the start of our monthly class we will begin a technique file.

This technique file will include a stamped project on the front of the card and the instructions for the technique on the back.

This will allow you to have at your fingertips a technique that can be used over and over again.I will have the supplies needed to complete the projects, but if you would like you may bring your basic stamp kit with you.

Cost for the class is $10.00 and location will be determined based on those who sign up.

To sign up please send me an email.

Well it has been a busy weekend. I got my new memory purse in the mail today and I have been working on getting that completed so that I can have my "walking billboard" for The Angel Company.

This weekend has also been spent with Paper Wings as we have had an online "Escape". I have been working on the stamped prize packages for the winners of bingo and hope to have them done tomorrow.

NEWS

I am now taking signups for Online Hostess groups. This would be a commitment of 3 months. During the three month time frame you would purchase 33.00 worth of product by the 15th of each month. For one month of the 3 months you will recieve the benefits as if you had hosted a funshop. This would include level A hostess set and a 1/2 off item. If the hostess group purchases enough for additional hostess sets then those would be provided to you as well. Doesn't it sound like fun?

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers-9

I signed up to join the sista's tonight. I am excited.

I have been a scrapbooker mostly since 2000 and changed over to rubberstamps when I started making my own cards in 2001. I love intricate designs and it is sometimes intimidating to others, but I like my "cutwork" cards that I make at Christmas.

I just recently joined up with The Angel company and am excited to get my business going this year!

I made this darling box and card for valentines tonight for my husband. The box was a design that Sara Gilreath had posted. The little box is perfect for little candy favors or some other small trinket. I used Kalmaht papers and the stamps came from 4 sets - Basic Birds (cherish), Flowers from petal pack, I love you from trendy greetings and the vines from sprigs. All of these stamps are available from me. The sprigs and petal pack is available below in my kit for this month too!
